How long does it take for backlinks to show up in link popularity checkers

I started my blog about a week ago. It was indexed by google 2 days ago. I have been submitting the site to directories and using other sources for back links. When I use link popularity checkers, however, the sites claim I have no back links. How long does it take for these links to show up? Thanks!

Yahoo updates a few times per day and is by far the best. My link tracker (http://www.blogstorm.co.uk/tracker.php) is tracking about 10,000 blog posts and all the link counts are updating continually thanks to Yahoo.

Try using different link pop checkers they all give different results but you have got to give it time a week might be too soon.

Do not expect to see your links in Google any time soon. They do not seem to update backlinks very often. For example Yahoo shows over 1000 backlinks, MSN shows just over 1100 while Google shows 0.

I have read numerous time Google is not reporting backlinks as it should. For what reason they are not is unknown to me.
