Please review my layout

Please review my website layout. The current logo is just something I whipped up but it should look good. The quality might be a little bit bad so I might need to retouch it. The top header bar kinda looks too simple so I might add a glossy effect to it. Other than that, what is your take on my layout/graphics?

The layout and design is okay. I'd suggest that you get rid of the horizontal scrolling. That is very annoying for users. Also, use smaller images as large images use a lot of space, which causes a lot of scrolling up and down, and also wastes valuable bandwidth.

It's not a very inviting site.

Needs a bit more colour and substance. Get rid of the horizontal scrolling. Use smaller pics and headings. The white text in the header needs to be a bit darker or the blue header a bit darker - almost blends in as does the 'posted by' under the titles.

Lots of good content though.

i dont like the logo, the color is not good and cant barely see the "computer solutions"


too wide space on the first part of your site, just look plain and empty for your site, uninviting if you will introduce your site to new users.

change the font, keep it tidy.

I've went ahead to change the hyperlinks color to match more with the header and also got rid of the horizontal scrolling. I'm going to retouch the logo a bit more as it seems a little bit distorted and hard to read. Other than that, I may change the buttons on the sidebar as it doesn't seem to blend well.

As you said, the header is terrible but the rest is quite good.

The design is really plain.. you can start off with fixing your header design. The black border is way too bold for your site's overall colorscheme. I would change it to a darker shade of blue or maybe removing it and adding a dropshadow instead.

it is ok i like where the ads are but there is no color contrast in your layout. so nothing relly sticks out in a good blance

Not bad. Maybe smaller headers and a little more space between articles/sections. A touch of contrast might help, but don't overdo.

Hello Vizuke,

Design looks good to me, very good layout scheme, nicely use of colors. The only one thing that doesn't go the design is your logo. If look at this you will notice that it is catch all your attention and this is due to its colors. For design layout you used light tones and that is perfect choice. For logo you used dark tones and shadows that do not fit in the design. Logo Font is second killing factor need consideration.

Design is loosing its impact, because of its footer and this only reason it doesn't look composed. If you little work on it and introduce a colored strip in footer, it will support the design and design will looks composed.

the blog side is too narrow compared to the rest of the page content. way too much white space.

perhaps go with a three column with the blog in the middle and a narrow column on each side.

I think that a quick introduction about what the site is for is important. maybe a business slogan or something to go with your logo. yup! i have to agree with others that the logo needs some changing.

i like the content information but it took me abit to figure out what your site was about. Wasn't sure if you were selling something or giving me information.

layout - i'd say go with the adds on the right and have the Recent Posts and Categories placed under the menu on the left... leaving more room for the content in the middle... mainly for the way i'm used to reading web articles... but thats just me..
