I have taken a look at compars PR page Compar PR (http://www.compar.com/PR.htm)

It is based on the fact that 50 links is an average number of links out.

My question is

Is one link from a PR3 site with 1 link on it the same value as having 50 PR3 pages with 50 links on it?

I can't imagine this to be the case, but does anyone have an idea of when things begin to balance out? eg 1 PR3 page with 3 links would be equal to how many pr3 pages with 50 links on it?

It might be interesting to try to figure this out. Even a test could be constructed to prove that fifty links from PR3 pages with 50 outgoing links each would be the same as on link from a PR3 page with no other outbounds.

But, realistically, your time is probably better spent getting links than trying to figure this out. :)

Not sure if this PR Calculator (http://thinkbling.com/prcalc/) uses the same table as Compar's, but it should make you PR fanatics happy. ;)

I'm no where near those numbers and I'm PR6, so I wouldn't trust it.
