Hi,

I recently moved host and installed Wordpress 2.2 through Fantastico in the new host (the old host still used wordpress 2.1). I then imported the SQL database containing the old posts. Everything was fine until I tried to create a new post.

After writing the post, when I click any of the buttons ("Save and Continue Editing" or "Save" or "Publish"), what is saved or published is only the title. The article body is gone. I have tried creating the post several times (because luckily I make a copy of all the posts before they're published/saved), but this keep happening.

I was curious and searched for this for a moment and from the results it seems that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem (http://www.asceticmonk.com/blog/?p=550) (no this one isn't my blog, it's someone else's).

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

have you upgraded the database? maybe there is a conflict in the database because you import the old database which is 2.1 to 2.2.

upgrade your database by using this url.

www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php

Yes, I have updated my database. In fact, Wordpress prompted me to do that at the beginning, and I've done that.

Anyway, temporarily, to avoid problems, I decide to downgrade to the 2.1 version.

there are many probabilities here. maybe there is a plugin which causing the problem or maybe some files are broken. try delete all files in your root, wp-admin and wp-includes. then re-upload the files.
