Recently several pages of content were added to my site (5 weeks ago) when I look on Google to find the pages I find them using site:my url. On the search results it states "supplemental result" in green next to my url. If you query on Google without using "site:" the page will not appear.
I would appreciate your help.
Thanks

okay.... well that was opinionated and to the point, but not really very helpful.
These are all new content pages for pet breed profiles. I don't understand how/why Google decided they were unimportant and how to change that.

If you're lucky, it's just Google doing updating with datacenters, and eventually you might see results with out those cursed words. Try comparing your results in different datacenters....

If some datacenters don't show those cursed words, then you might have hope.

Google decided they were unimportant because they are either, too similar to an existing page elsewhere on the web, or the number/quality of backlinks going to your site is so low that a new subpage on your site just doesn't have much to offer.
To correct this, ensure the content is unique and get some quality backlinks to your site and to the effected pages.
Also make sure your pages have unique Titles and Descriptions.

Supplemental results means Google isn't seeing links to the page and/or the content isn't changing. Google thinks the page is not of value, therefore, get some links to it and change the content. I've (or at least my parents have, for whom I work for!) had pages in supplemental results and get them out on a regular basis. Part of site maintenance is dealing with pages that are put into supplemental results. Get used to it! :) Here (http://seoblog.intrapromote.com/2007/03/googles_supplem.html) is a great read on supplemental results.

That was very helpful, thank you!
Another question "I am placing close to 500 breed profile pages on my site. Should I focus on getting the 27 that I placed on the site 5 weeks ago out of "supplemental results" or should I continue to create unique content pages and ad them at 1 to 3 per day"?
Thanks

As per Matt Cutts
"As a reminder, supplemental results aren’t something to be afraid of; I’ve got pages from my site in the supplemental results, for example. A complete software rewrite of the infrastructure for supplemental results launched in Summer o’ 2005, and the supplemental results continue to get fresher. Having urls in the supplemental results doesn’t mean that you have some sort of penalty at all; the main determinant of whether a url is in our main web index or in the supplemental index is PageRank. If you used to have pages in our main web index and now they’re in the supplemental results, a good hypothesis is that we might not be counting links to your pages with the same weight as we have in the past. The approach I’d recommend in that case is to use solid white-hat SEO to get high-quality links (e.g. editorially given by other sites on the basis of merit)."
It is not something to get afraid of :)

Personally i would continue to add them as you are doing, the larger the variety of content you have the more chance of getting natural links to some of these internal pages. Also the fresh content may encourage Googlebot to revisit/index your site a bit more.
Just try and get some backlinks as you go along, things will pan out over time.
