I just noticed that a .de domain I purchased a few months ago still has the first/last name of the previous registrant. When I tried to update this (it's reg'ed at Godaddy), I got a notice that said that particular TLD did not allow first names, last names and organization names to be changed.
Is there any way around this? Is this a Godaddy problem? And more importantly, why the hell is this a rule?? I could easily see how someone selling .de (or whatever TLD this affects) and then suing to get it back since their name is still the "owner".
