View Full Version : Where is This Traffic Coming From?

I've recently parked a .mobi domain at Sedo, and it's getting 20+ unique views a day consistently.
.mobi is a newly launched extension, and I don't see how I'm getting this traffic. Anyone got any thoughts?

Have you checked the back links of the parked url?

Like I said, this is a brand new extension, and the domain was registered just after the land rush, so neither is possible.

why don't you "un-park" it for a day or two, set up a 1 page or blank page website with a statscounter or check the weblog or webalizer logs?

No you said it was recently parked. .mobi has been available since 2006...

why don't you "un-park" it for a day or two, set up a 1 page or blank page website with a statscounter or check the weblog or webalizer logs?

I was the first to reg it after the land rush 8 months ago. I haven't done anything with the domain, so no backlinks.

It's actually a premium variant that I regged early in the game. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Hehe...I ask the same question in another forum. Before 3 days i buy domain from GoDaddy and i parked it at SEDO. Now I have about 50 visits a day :)

It can be anything, nobody is able to tell for certain
Host it for few days to see the traffic as people suggested
