View Full Version : What Could This Domain Name Be Worth?

I have the option to buy a domain name for $50. I am trying to peg a value to this domain, as I think it will be worth substantially more than the $50 sale price that it currently has.

The domain was first registered in April of 2001.

The domain currently has a PR of 4.

The domain currently has 15 inbound links, including two from the Yahoo Directory.

Any idea on what this might be worth? It is a fairly neutral domain name, and I am planning on turning it into a small content site and selling some Text Links, etc. Any idea on the value? Thanks, Dave

Sounds pretty average. I would say what your paying for it is a rough price. By 15 inbound links thats pretty low. If you said 1500 i would have said bargain. Anyway it sounds oright. If u fished around you could probably get better.

If i don't see the domain i can't tell you for sure but the inbound links must be steady and solid because else i see your PR4 going down at the next hoolahoop of Google

The age of the domain must be slightly valuable no? 6 1/2 years old?

Which tool did you use to check the PR? Make sure it's valid.

Hi,

I used multiple tools and websites, including the Google Toolbar. I checked 4-5 different places, and they all said that it is a PR 4.

IMO, A 6 year old domain that you are interested in is a steal @ $50.
