Help with Ad Placement

Hey all, I need advice on Ad placement on http://sciencehack.com

How many clicks should I expect on a Science site?

And do you like the design?

I can't give you any advice regarding the ad placement, but i would maybe give the layout and functionality a second try.

90% white with some links and a pixelated logo do not invite me to explore the site.

And i thought none of the links at the bottom were actually working, until a youtube-video loaded. Maybe it is because i live in germany and the connection was kind of slow at that moment. But if i click a link and there happens nothing else than some text showing up with a "broken image link" placeholder at the left side, i will leave the site.

Thanks Solander, I will redesign the logo and add some more content to the site, like featured videos. And thanks for pointing out that the youtube videos don;t load fast enough, I will add a loading gif.

Hey Solander,
I added a loading indicator incase of a youtube delay and add an error message incase of a database error.

I also redesigned the logo.

your visitors must be so careful to see your ads. i have spent nearly 5 min. to see your ads. it's so small . use bigger ads
