I just wanted to know if you have used sitemap for vbulletin and how it has affected your site.
I have owned my site for over 2 years and all the time my site has had 9,000 pages in google. I submitted a sitemap for my site www.mcseworld.com and I now have 140,000 pages in google and roughly 3 x more traffic :)

There is a hack currently available at vbulletin.org if you are interested. Just search for "Google Site Map".

@Miranda:
Yes - it generally helps Googlebot to get the indexing job done a little easier. vBulletin forums, like any site with dynamic scripts with query strings & session IDs, make the indexing process somewhat less effective. The Google Site Map helps them identify new pages immediately.

Bump for VBSEO, who released a killer VBulletin sitemap hack here:

Ditto, the hack is an excellent piece which also is now Yahoo compatable compiling URLs per line in a neat .txt file.

Thank-you for the support guys. I encourage all vBulletin forum admins to install our Google / Yahoo sitemap generator.
