Ok.
I just checked my Cpanel and found something wierd.
I've never seen this before and I'm a bit worried because I've just recently added the robots.txt file to my root directory. Could that have caused what I am seeing? And, I'm not even sure what it is that I'm seeing! LOL

Why is there a plus sign and another number after the number in the Hits column?

MSNBot 8009+8 179.91 MB 18 Oct 2005 - 05:14
Googlebot 5207+2 175.09 MB 18 Oct 2005 - 05:06
Inktomi Slurp 584+6 3.62 MB 18 Oct 2005 - 05:36

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

this means that they downloaded the file. You will also notice that your 404 erros will decrease as they find the robots.txt file.

Thank you, ServerUnion.

But, why is there a plus sign?
Does that mean something in particular?

* Robots shown here gave hits or traffic "not viewed" by visitors, so they are not included in other charts. Numbers after + are successful hits on "robots.txt" files

Per cPanel, right under the stats box. the "+" is just what they choose to use to delimit the text.

Geesh. How did I not see that.
I've looked at that page for years and never read it.
LOL
Thanks.
