Some of the previous logo's I could easily :) , I didn't mean the offense someone for I want to make it clear that I need good looking pro logo. the logo should serve the website for a very long time and he should be catchy and good looking.

If you want more professional logos
first don't write "simple logo" on title and offer a higher price.If you say i can't do that i think you should do your own logo...

The logo can be simple and professional looking at the same time.
I know 8$ is not that high , but I let it a try , there are designers who can make me the logo I want at the price.

I think Its a time for a moderator / admin to set minimum amount for logo / banner design competitions. What do you think guys. I have seen somewhere where there is a minimum amout as per the competitions. Say 15-20$ min for logo design.

no. If people want to run a contest for $5, then it is the people choice to enter or not

It IS up to the people whether they enter or not, but the designers should have more sense than to enter a comp for $8. Then have a CH bag the designs saying that anyone can do them in PS, well a saying comes to mind here:
"pay with peanuts and you get monkeys"

come to think of it, no monkey in its right mind would even get out of bed in the morning for 8 bucks.

Have some respect all you budding designers out there, your time is worth more than that!!!
