Alternative to phpMyAdmin

I guy down at P2L (http://www.pixel2life.com/) (Pixel2Life) has just released a new php Admin system to apparently rival phpMyAdmin which is the Industry's I suppose standard on many hosts like Lycos.

He writes:
"A database management system, similar in design to phpMyAdmin, but meant for getting things done ASAP. If you think phpMyAdmin is slow, complicated, and just to full of "pointless" features, this is exactly the next thing you should try."

Yeah, phpMyAdmin is fine- IMO.

Unless it bypasses the PHP upload limit issue which IMO is phpMyAdmin's only drawback there is no point in switching to something with less features.

I am looking to integrate phpmyadmin (or similar mysql admin) to a backend I'm working on.

The advantage of phpmyadmin is that everyone know and use it (industry std as mentioned above).
The problem is the code is a breast to tame it it is not to stand alone.
