What should i do or change in this template? im making it for my directory. Is the left menu (which would be used for advertisments...) a little too much? would you think it would look better without it? Or does it not matter..
Also any other suggestions you have (size of things, colors, etc) I dont really care what it looks like to me (i usually make a template i like and not many other people do) but this time i want the visiters to like it.
The template is: http://img447.imageshack.us/img447/993/gdotztemp7ub.gif
Btw, the text isnt really centered right, i just put it there.
Thanks.

Ok I'll start the bidding at $10 :D j/k
Seriously, I like it so far. Would that logo work to the left? If it could you would be able to open up some banner space there on the header. Just a thought.
I like the color scheme.

good point, i forgot about top advertising and only thought about the left menu advertising :)
The only reason I put it in the middle was because i didnt know what else to fill it up with ;)
Thanks.
I will edit it tommorow, right now im busy watching hockey, checking the forum and approving links to my directory :P

I wasnt saying it doesnt look good in the middle, actually it does. Just wanted to make sure you didnt put a lot of time into one look and then in the future say... "wait a minute, I could be making money with that spot" you know what I mean?

yea, i know... but i would have thought about putting an ad up there like a week later (after its up already) :P
Ill post another image of it tommorow with it on the left side and if it looks better in the middle, ill forget about the ads there.

It does look good but I think its alittle to much, I would make it alittle smaller and stick it to the left and use the extra space for income.

I like it. Pastel colours are definitely in at the moment.
I also like the suggest a link at the top right. I hate having to search for it.

thats what it looks like on the left side
And having a smaller logo doesnt really have the same "effect" as it does now...

dont think the script i have works with tables that good, so im trying to change it into css...
http://www.gdotz.com thats what i have so far, pretty much just need the background color outside the content area to change, and add a column to the right.

I really like the look. One thing though, have you tried the design on several different screen res? Seems to jump off the screen on the smaller sizes.
