Aaron Wall of SEO Book (http://www.seobook.com/) did a great interview with Matt Cutts (http://www.search-marketing.info/newsletter/articles/matt-cutts.htm) of Google. It's a good read...check it out.

From interview :

What would be the best ways to integrate the link popularity?

I think having a main site with a large feature like a blog somewhere near the main page is actually a pretty good structure. If you run a blog, it's good to spend some effort to have one main url for each post so that there's a single well-known permalink. I haven't been as nitpicky about that on my own site, but if you do SEO for a living I'd pay a little more attention to that.

These Google guys sure do love their blogs.

Very intriguing reading - I love how some of the questions seem to veer off-topic, but there's some real insight nonetheless.

Thanks for pointing out the interview - EVERYONE should read it - I love it when folklore is debunked from the source themselves.

Yes ... reminds me of an advertising campaign that ran in the US in the 70's and early 80's regarding a stock brokerage firm, E.F. Hutton. When that name was mentioned in the commercial, everything and everyone would stop and hang on every word the person who mentioned that name, because, "When E.F. Hutton speaks, people listen."

I like how they are talking about organic links and the ad running at the bottom
"Want Free Link Popularity Software? if yes click here "
