Has anybody noticed that Paypal was down over the last day or so?

I have a website that does between 4 (never less than 3) and 8 sales per day, and over the last day or two there has been no sales.

Then a customer emailed and said that Paypal is down.
"Hi,
Thought I had better keep you informed.
Paypal has had the same message up now for the last 2 days...as below

We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.

Message 3005"

On my side it had been up.

So I am wondering, did anybody else experience downtime for Paypal?

And, how coming is it for Paypl to be down?

Hi,
no problems here (UK based) payments comming in.

Check your set up - I remember having had some issues when I used a wrong parameter as while back.

Have never really seen any downtime with Paypal, unless it's early in the morning when they are doing maintenance. They will then have a message up telling you what times they are doing maintenance from.

Thats happened to me before, I would remake the form and put in the new link that paypal gives you. That might help.

no problems with paypal thats why it is good to offer another method of payment if your site does have a high selling ratio.

Best of luck

Did a little bit of research... it might have to do with encryption. If you choose to encrypt your buy now button, it might cause problems.

Found this on a paypal development forum

SteveH,

This error has shown up with some members encrypted buttons lately. The only fix for the time being is to go back into PayPal and create an unencrypted button.
