Hey, I thought askJeeves/Teoma were the same thing.
But then I did a search on a two word combo and got totally different results.
Are they the same, not the same, sometimes the same?
What's the deal?
Thanks if you can clear this up!
Thomas.

They are the same company but different type sites.
AskJeeves is a knowledge base directory type search engine HUMAN edited and Teoma is the BEST search engine in the world.
Google and Yahoo are starting to copy teoma's technology.

Thanks Max!
I assume AskJeeves is a pay to get in directory.
Is there a "submit your site to teoma"? As of 2001, there was no way to submit to teoma

Google and Yahoo are starting to copy teoma's technology.
Do you have any evidence of this?
I would be surprised if Teoma willingly shared their technology with Google and Yahoo, and even if Teoma have better results I would be surprised if Google or Yahoo would take the risk of copying the technology of a small, lesser known competitor.

Google and Yahoo implementing the same type of technology as teaoma. By copying I did not mean they are copying the exact technology, they are copying the way teoma works.
Yes, i have proof. Watch the next PR update and test the search results over the next several months.
I will disclose what I know and my research soon. Right now I am super busy :D
mea culpa.
