The "Halo" movie will be shot in Wellington, New Zealand, and will use Jackson's production and post-production facilities there.
"He eradicates any cynicism that might exist with core fans (of the game). At the same time, he makes a movie like this appealing to a mainstream audience," Langley said of the director, who is an avid video game player and fan of "Halo."
We can only hope...

I don't know much about Peter Jackson but I hope he could positively contribute for the success of that movie.

I love Halo and Halo 2...possibly one of the best games ever made.

Oh that could be quite a good film... I loved mortal combat when it first came out based on the game.

He is going to be the Executive Producer, and use his production studio for the special effects. He will not direct the film.
A director and cast has yet to be announced.
