Hi,
I have just put adsense onto my website. Will this help my postions on Google or will it have no effect. Any thoughts?

That would have been too simple, and not to rational from Google. I was wondering this question just a few days ago, and when i did a bit of research... well you prolly figured out from the top posts :)

no, adsense has nothing to do with search engine.
