How do I block my own computer from the stats? So when I look at my AWstats and see I have had 10 visitors. And 9 of those are probably me. I want to block it so I don't show up on those stats and it will say only 1 visitor.

you know, I have noticed that my computer no longer shows up in the stats, which I am really glad about, because it is a blog you know, so you are always making a post, I don't want it to skew my results. I would love if google had a mechanism where you could give them your IP, or better yet a dynamic domain name pointing at your computer, so if you got a laptop it travels with you and you can surf without worrying about screwing up your stats, or having them think you are trying something.

So google, if you do this in the future, please send me my 5% commission for this idea in cash. But I will take check too, thank you google gods

Do you have access to the Awstats conf file ?
If you are using cpanel, it would be in /home/user/tmp/awstats/awstats.yourdomain.com.conf

Open that file up using the File Manager and half way down is::
SkipHosts=" "
Put your ip address between the quotes, then save the file

man, Im sorry, I must have been really tired last night, I answered your question totally wrong. I was thinking google stats not your awstats.

cyanide's advice seems right on, in fact I think I am going to do that in mine, thats a great idea.
