I'm not expecting to get much traffic from Froogle but am hoping to get a gain in PR from the link.
A couple of weeks ago the following pages were both PR9, today they are PR0

Does anyone know what's going on here?

It won't pass PageRank, because it's not a spiderable page as far as Google is concerned...

As I understand it, Google does not allow PR to be transferred from its own pages. This is because it is so easy to manipulate, by simply placing a link to a google search on your page.
I did this on my site, but contacted Google first to make sure I was not breaking any rules. They mailed back and more or less said that was the case.

They do transfer PageRank (if you are lucky enough to get a link). But items within Google that are excluded from being indexed (such as search results) will never count as a link or transfer PageRank because it's not in the index to begin with.
But even if it did, a search result page would not carry much PageRank because there are no links to the page from within Google (only what you gave it in your link). For display purposes, Google *does* "fake" PageRank for some dynamic pages. They keyword tracker shows PR6 for the main page, but anything dynamic within it shows PR4 (even though it would never transfer PR4 from those pages).

Very useful. I was wondering the same thing.
No, it won't pass PageRank, but PageRank seems to be a major factor in the placing of froogle. With low PageRank you will be lucky to get on the top 50 items of any search.

How much dynamic content will Google cache?

it could cache a lot. a lot of the SERPs could be "cached" by google- if it weren't for their robots.txt.

That is right. PR is not passed on from Google pages, but your Froogle listings CAN show up in the Google search results.

Hey Sarah ... stop tripping !!!
Women in their 30's are the worst to date. That's when they keep talking about their biological clocks, want to get married before even being BF & GF and always feel "underappreciated" :D

Give me a call on your B-day! OK! You can come and get trashed with us!
I was planning to hit the Caribbean for a month to drown my sorrows but have discovered that the cute, isolated, villa on the beach that sleeps 12 isn't really a happening thing there so am changing my plans. Mountain biking through Hawaii, perhaps? Or Colorado? Jim (http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/member.php?u=172) (from another forum) has me enthused about Idaho.
I have to thank my biological clock, well sometimes I curse it, but if I hadn't been hormonally brainwashed I'm sure I would never have had kids and I couldn't imagine life without my two.
