Google Wallet it is! That must be something which should speed up check processing for adsense publishers!

Hopefully they can improve on what Paypal sucks at... Customer Service, among other things...

Google is the best in information related fields. It is also the best in online Advertisment publishing. Now, I am just waiting to see Google Wallet in action.
PayPal is good. But, I can bet that it is gonna be a better service than PayPal.

Yes, but when will that happen?
I get about 10 phishing mails for my paypal account/day, so I decided not to use it.

I have never used PayPal since i'm from a non-paypal supported country.
Hopefully Google Wallet covers more countries than PayPal does.

I hope Google Wallet services are better than other service providers.Allthough when I compare Paypal with the other Indian Payment gateways it is 100% more better.

yahoo also started directpay and checked last time got message they closed their directpay service...is this correct?
if yes then everything is possible because paypal is very strong company with ebay and handling all world auction system.
google can not take this high volume just in 1 or 2 years but it will take so much time to be popular.

Paypal has become so convenient for ebay transactions. I feel it will be hard for Google "Wallet" to become more popular then paypal. But then again, that is what some people said about Google the search engine. And look at 'em now, making us proud.

Google Wallet huh? It is about time. I've had some terrible experiences with paypal. I still use them because it is a standard among webmasters. Google is really out for world domination aren't they? No wonder Microsoft is afraid of them. I've even been told Google wants to create a OS that you can download onto your computer off the net, or something like that. I don't know if the rumors are true, but I don't see why not.

Wow. If paypal is really that strong then how come it's not that unversal? I believe there are only 55 or so countries that is paypal supported. My country, Indonesia is not one of them. :(

Maybe Google can do it
First is only Google Search
Then They're Google Images , newsgroup etc. Froogle
Later is Google Adsense , Adwords , Gmail
Now is Google Earth , Google Talk , Google Desktop , Sitemap
and latest , Google just trying to co-op with Sun Microsystem to make Google offices (May it challenge with Microsoft ?)
Google is Extremely Growth and Only Founded an earlier year
Now Google Profits is 1/10 of Microsoft
Maybe in future , they'll said what's google can't do

Or Like Ebay
The can't make search engine good as google but they can make their Auction Services best , They're not Software Company like Google or Yahoo
Yahoo is not strong as google , Peoples prefer using Google Search , but If they want to auction , they must go to Ebay , The services is different
Google may take several years to make them popular.
Did you've any idea about Microsoft in the money transferring services?

At the moment Google is planning on only offering its payment system to purchase items that you would buy through their network only. This is going to be their test phase so that they can work out glitches. Eventually it will be offered the same as other payment systems and you bet it will make PayPal wish they had listened to all of its clients and taken better care of them.

The only problem I with Google Wallet is what if Google reports your paypal earnings to the IRS? Right now I don't think paypal reports your earnings to the IRS so in that case that is cool. Google reports Adsense revenue to the IRS, and I don't know why they wouldn't with Google Wallet

I can't wait for them to launch it, it would be extremly handy if it goes hand in hand with adsense.

Personally i'd switch immediately from paypal to google wallet. I think paypals fee's are extortion and like other people mension they're customer service is a disgrace. While on the phone to a paypal customer service operator in a call center they told me to email them a complaint, i did, and got an autoresponder back from them. :(
If google can get customer service right then paypal are in deep trouble.

Anyone have any ideas when this will see the light of day. I can't even get a paypal account (at least one where I can receive funds), so if Google brings out something like this soon it would be great.

If you think their fees are extortion you dont want to try StormPay who is extracting 3 times as much from their customers. Others are doing the same.

I disagree that PayPal sucks. The customer service might be bad in the US, but in the UK I cannot fault them at all. Always quick to respond to emails, and very helpful.
It will be very interesting to see what Google offers - I currently use PayPal and NoChex, and would swap NoChex for Google Wallet, without a thought, depending on the charges involved.

I would have to agree with you on this. Paypal has poor customer service overall and there is a group always trying to get your information by imitating them, but they are still overall a good group. I would continue to use both PayPal and Google so as not alienate my customers and increase the base.

Dread you are right about how paypal rips you off. They are even worse than atm machines. But no one answered the question I raised about your earnings being reported to the IRS(if you are not in the US, this doesn't apply to you). If paypal doesn't report you to the IRS, and Google Wallet does, then you will jump out of the fire and into the frying pan. You will probably pay more to the IRS than fees to paypal.
Their is no reason for the IRS not to tax Google Wallet or even Paypal earnings if they already don't. They tax just about everything else.

Paypal wouldn't be anywhere near as successful if it wasn't for eBay, so I think it will be very difficult for Google to capture a significant proportion of the market. But having said that, Google seem to have a knack of doing things better than the competition, so it will be interesting to see how they compare.

It would be nice if google came out with the debit card like paypal and also did a direct deposit of Adsense earnings into your account. Now that would make me happy! It would be a wast is they didn't at least give the option.

I believe you will see this all soon. With the recent opening of the EFT from google adsense now you most likely will see this carry over to their new payment system. The card will be their next logical step.

PayPal, at least in the U.S., has HORRIBLE customer service! They freezed my account with over $900 in it and I've faxed all of my information in - social security number, driver's license, utility bills, etc and they haven't responded for over 2 months now. They like to freeze accounts with money in it for them to earn an interest on...I've seen cases of peoples' $20,000 frozen for up to a year! That's BLASPHEMY.

Here in The Netherlands, Google does do a direct deposit of Adsense earnings into my bank account.

You know that is pretty scary when you think about it. I hope they at least gave you some reason for doing this. I know I would be upset.

Or maybe even come up with a Visa paycard for all Adsense earnings. something like paypal and ikobo combined... that would be nice! :D
