Currently, I run an article site where I'm manually placing the articles through HTML with EditPlus. It's very tiresome and I wanted to streamline the process a bit.

So I went to hotscripts.com and looked at the various article website scripts that they have. Some of them, like one called "Article Manager", were as high as $300 bucks.

Before investing in buying one, I was hoping that someone with experience might have suggestions or input.

Is it wise to use these scripts and does Google pick up the articles from them in their SERPS?
Are there any that are not search engine friendly?
Is anyone currently using them with any success?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I've been meaning to make a mod of my php link directory for this purpose. I'll try to get going on a script for people to use.

I think Dave (dvduval) is working on an article script right now, the http://evo-dev.com/ appears to be broken
