Looking in my logs, I saw that msnbot had done me the favor and had crawled part of my site. If my memory serves me correctly, this had happened two months ago as well. Then why am I not in the MSN serps yet???

Its been said before somewhere else ... MSN search is not yet using data collected by the bot .. they're still beta testing.

So, anybody know when they'll finally update their serps? I thought I had heard it'd happen in July, but that's obviously not the case. Maybe in 2005, huh?

The official statement I read somewhere is "Later this year".

Just add 9 months to the official statement and you should get more or less the correct time.

This sort of reminds me of the Half-Life 2 sags :D :D

Yep, I can think of numerous games that were delayed too much, such as Tomb Raider, the Angel of Darkness.

That bot is always at my site stealing bandwidth. Wish it wasn't just beta-testing, it hits my site harder than all the other bots. Just too bad there is nothing to show for it, lol.

That's exactly the way I feel. Well, no, not really, slurpy is worse. It indexes my images while blatantly ignoring the rest of my site.

At least with Slurp, you see results (albeit it will take a month or so to see them), lol.

if msn's new technology does what they say it will, maybe using up this bandwidth of yours will pay off in the end.

I have not heard anything to those regards. If it did payoff, I would guess they have at least about 80% of our 25k page site crawled. G is our best at about 1/3. Anyone read anything about it? I would guess it's all strictly beta-testing...not counting on anything.
