Godaddy is most reliable and secure domain register.

Is there a d. option
I don't like GoMammy at all and never use them because i believe they are a nice unreliable bubble compared with the small registrars. It's funny what a good marketing and few tv ads do to the service awareness of people

I use Godaddy and namecheap.
I find namecheap control panel much better.
I use both, because sometimes for same TLD there is a difference of price or I have a coupon for godaddy for dot org but I dont have for namecheap, I think I buy 3 or 4 domains a day...

I use couple registrars.
NameCheap for personal use.
OnlineNIC for my customers cos it lets my customers modify their domains with a single password.
Stargate for my resellers, so they can register and modify their domains easily.
Dynadot for the domains I might delete within 5 days (for just testing the traffic).
DomainSite for IDNs.
enom.tv for .tv domains.
website.in for .in domains.
GoDaddy for the domain extensions that I can get them cheaper from GoDaddy than from the above registrars.

Godaddy is okay but there have been a series of reports that domain searches have led to the domains being snatched - I have a few with godaddy but I don't search for available domains there!

I register new domains at Godaddy, but if I purchase domains, I will sign up for them at the register they are currently registered at so that I don't pay transfer fees.

GoDaddy is definitely a domain-snatcher. But for TLD search, use a reliable registrar for not being snatched. :D

I use yahoo.com to buy the domain. I transfer them over to godaddy before they expired. Godaddy will steal your domain.
