Searching Google for @www.domain.com ?

Does anyone know exactly what results this search is bringing up?

If I search Google for @www.mysite.com I get a much more extensive list of sites that are linking to our site.

Could this be all of the links Google really sees pointing to our site and not just the >PR4 links reported by a search for link:www.mysite.com?

I've never seen that search before, but it does indeed appear to give all the pages, both internal and external, that link to www.yourdomain.com.

I think the best search for finding all external links maybe 'www.yourdomain.com -site:www.yourdomain.com.

I just ran that after running your '@' search and the difference in pages returned was approximately the number of internal pages in my site.

I was thinking of adding the returned number of links for this search to the Keyword Analysis Tool.

It seems to work fine for main domain urls but definately has issues with individual pages.

Two thoughts:

First, using link:domain.com will return internal links (I just tried it); and, as well known, it will only show links from pages of PR 4 and above.

Second, I was salivating over @domain.com as a way to finally find all my backlinks, not just those from pages with PR of 4 or more. Nertz! Google won't give more than 1000 replies to any inquiry, and with some cheesy directory site somewhere (of low PR) producing some big number of duplicate "links", I can't see all my real links (Google says 17,400, of which perhaps 12,400 are my own pages, which leaves a lot to be seen, except it can't be).

Does anyone know any tricks for getting deeper responses out of Google? (You can't just force the page number in the URL--they ken that).

Hate to break up the party, but it doesn't work...

A search of @www.domain.com is the same as a search of "www.domain.com". But more importantly, I have an example where a link query actually shows more... try it on the URL www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/ (738 links with link: vs. 484 with the others).
