Over the past several weeks we have notified you of eBay's shift on October 1st to paying publisher commissions based upon revenue sharing of Winning Bids. This email serves as notice that per the Special Terms & Conditions that you agreed to when first joining the eBay program, eBay will automatically update the program terms to reflect new commissions for Active Registrations and for Winning Bids on October 1st. This new program term will also incorporate new Special Terms & Conditions.

Some points to be aware of:

- The program terms will automatically take effect after midnight on October 1st. Publishers do not need to take any steps to move to the new commission structure or the Special Terms and Conditions.
- During the week of September 26th, eBay will email to all joined publishers the content of the new Special Terms and Conditions that will be in force as of October 1st. If the Special Terms and Condition or the new commission structure are not agreeable to you, then you are required to proactively end your affiliate relationship with eBay via the CJ Account Manager interface.
- Active Registrations will continue to report to you under the new program terms during the transition from the current program term to the new one. Winning Bids paid via revenue sharing will begin appearing in the CJ Account Manager reporting on October 3rd for transactions eventing from October 1st onward.

Any one able to translate this in to English??!!! It looks like it has to be the winning bid to make money, and no more $20.00 per sign-up payment.

I'm also having a hard time understanding all of this.

While some people are claiming that affiliates will now earn $12.00 per registration, others are stating that the commission structure will remain the same at $20.00 per registration.

Also, in order for an affiliate to earn a commission on new registrations, the new user must place a winning bid within 30 days? This it seems would be the most crucial change...if at all true.

Re: ebay change:

As long as we get some of that per sign-up money, I'll be happy!!!

Now it might be a good idea to promote high cost items. Gold, jewlery, cars(?)....

Thanks Shawn. That thread answered most of my questions.

I wonder how these changes will pan out for everyone? Time will only tell.

I knew they weren't going to pay up to $45 per active registration forever.
