Hi i just checked my cached pages in yahoo.com and was in for a shock about 2 weeks ago i had about 746 pages from www.widewebtalk.com cached.

After just checking now it is down to 10 pages from my site that are cached can anyone help me out why this would happen.

Any help appreciated thanks.

I'd send them an email asking why. Let us know what they say.

Another weird thing is when i check the many cashed pages tools on the web they state there is more but on the actual search in yahoo and google i get 10.

Even the yahoo site explorer say there is still 838 pages but on the actual search there is not,

I am puzzled.

Perhaps they are just showing less information now like Google who shows different information that what they are really using. Everything changes, nothing is static. If it were static we'd all be working on green screens and text files - well some of us anways.

I think you must search on yahoo search marketing for contact information.

I am not sure you understand how the search engines work. Yahoo updates its algorithms more often than Google does. You will see fluctuations such as a major drop in indexed pages which then will come back again.

I once had about 6000 pages dropped by Yahoo from one of their updates for a website - It did affect income coming in but 3 weeks later, another change happened and the pages were back again.

Trying to contact Yahoo to explain is a waste of your time as unless they ban you, they will not respond to a Please Explain email.

Thank you for the help i will give it some time and see how my indexed pages count goes.

Hi there,

That's normal i supposed, one your site can be very high ranking other days it just drop off!!

I having worst time then you, my yahoo mail a/c was deactivated with no reasons given. I have lost all my important contact and info there which i have accumalted 15 years. After sending them many emails but still no remedy to that. Just have to be patient and wait and see.

Youll see backlink changes on Yahoo almost every week. Yahoo is more regular in updating its back links. You shouldn't worry much about that. The site will again come back.. and so will the links.
