Your question isn't qualified by anything so it doesn't make sense.

Any legitimate business can benefit from a well written Yahoo Directory listing.

BEFORE you submit make sure you know exactly what you want and write it over and over until you get it just write and it doesn't violate any of their TOS. The editors can rewrite it if they want, but if you give them a really good first copy it's more likely they will just publish it.

Yahoo Directly doesn't get the use it did before Yahoo implemented Search but it does in fact ad legitimacy to your business. I use it when I want to find manufacturers homepages, especially in markets where there are lots of affiliate who are out marketing the manufacturer.

So yes it can be a very good move.

If you have a poorly written entry, or are in a niche that is buried so many levels deep that no one will ever find them then I would think maybe not so much.

I have several listings in Yahoo's Directory and they do not generate loads of traffic but they do enough "good" to make it worth the while.

They shall review your website in 7 days, and then it will be indexed or rejected. I think you shall contact them.

I am 3-4 sites in yahoo directory and it is over 6 months now but there is no effect on yahoo ranking. So it is simply money throwing

most page rank and page strength calculators do check for yahoo listing.

So, if you have yahoo listing, you can get good page strenght I think.

And if you post for link sales etc, pleople will pay money for a yahoo listed site.

My $0.02 worth.

Only, legal, content rich, non-affiliate spammed sites :) you can have a link or two but think of it like this - if you removed all affiliate stuff, will your website still be useful for visitors. If so, alright, else... its risky to gamble 300$

Listing in the Yahoo directory gives PR 2 to new websites from my experience

agree, if you have a good content rich site your chances are good. If not then better you spend the money listing other high pr directories
