Need a logo $20 with $5 kicker!

OK, this is a $20 contest for the best logo. I’m currently building my website InventorsHelpForum.com. I need a nice, professional looking logo. I don’t really have anything specific in mind so I’m just going to go with what catches my eye. I’ll try and keep regular updates for your feedback. Today is April 13th. The contest will be 10 days ending on Monday, April 23rd. I will pay the winner with paypal so please don’t enter if you cannot accept a paypal payment. The concept of the site is pretty obvious with the domain name. It’s a place for inventors to discuss patents, prototypes, marketing, etc. Feel free to come up with a tag line also. If someone comes up with a nice tag line (slogan) I’ll give them $5. Thanks and good luck!!

Nope, you can be as free and creative as you'd like. My favorite color is blue but it doesn't have to be blue.

I like it. I like the white letters but they kind of blend in by themselves. What about using a shadow or an outline on that font? Nothing real think, just a little to sort of make it stand out off the background. And try the slogan in solid black. The first one is my favorite. The slogan is okay. I'd like to hear more ideas.

Wow, I really like both of these. I'm gonna have to have my partner help me decide. Mitcharr: I like your last one the best so far. I like your tag line the best so far. Dusty: You may have a very slight edge in the logo. I just love how those colors look with that black background. Very nice job! I like your slogan but not as much. I'm gonna have my friend that's going to be running the site with me take a look at these. The ultimate decision in mine but I'd like his input.

Well, the slogan can be changed, so that's no problem. Also, it can be changed to suit different background colour and it's available at full quality A4 resolution at 300dpi. :)

Using something along #'s 2 & 4 might be a good solution for you.

It’s hard for me to really explain what I like better about one vs. two or so on. It just stands out to me. I would like for the .com to be on the logo. Thanks to everyone for their entries! Sorry Dusty, I get so many replies I sort of over looked you. I like yours but I still think a couple stand out more to me. I like the color change every other word a bit better. I think I like the two tone thing some of these others are using. It just kinda makes the letters jump out a bit. I also like the mirror look. It's kinda hard to tell you what I want because I don't do what you do. I don't really know what type of fonts, graffics, effects, etc. are available. You can try differnet colors, shadows, fonts, etc. I don't know what I like until I see it. If I had to choose today I'd probably choose Addicted. As for the arrow, it's ok, but just ok.

Barbie...the symbol. Someone else used it also and it just looks more confusing than anything IMO. I like the light bulb some have used because that obviously represents ideas and inventions but I'm open to other symbols people may be able to dig up. Relating to inventing of course.

AddictedtoFate: I still like yours very much but you may have just moved to second behind Barbie.

Barbie: Wow, do you listen well! Two things: Can you change “help” to green and “forum” to blue so the color changes every other word? Secondly can you change the tag line to “opening doors to innovation”. I’ll explain more below.

Xpressions: I think your design is very nice and fits what I was looking for but I think some others stand out a bit more to me. Thanks for your try!

Ramakrishna: You fall in the same category as xpressions…very nice work but a couple have you beat. I really liked the puzzle pieces. Nobody else did that and I thought it was a really good idea instead of the light bulb!

Istavan: This was Okay. I thought it was kinda dull. The colors are very dull and the font isn’t as professional looking as I’d like. I do appreciate your try and your time. Thank you.

Tropica: This isn’t what I was looking for. Thank you for your time and effort.

For now I’d like to use the following tag line:
“Opening Doors to Innovation”
I came up with this one myself and I’m still open to further ideas. So far I still like mine the best. I will however still reward the $5 to the best line created by someone else, even if I decide to use mine. There should be a winner since people spent some time trying. Please use the above line on logo attempts and if you want to submit a tag line just type it out. Thanks to everyone for their attempts and creative ideas. Everyone does a great job here!
