Something major is about to happen.

My free directory www.AddURL-Free.com is very soon reaching 50 000 active links!

I assume you already have seen the unique detail pages (http://www.addurl-free.com/39449.html) and edit pages (http://www.addurl-free.com/edit39449.html) for each link. This is the biggest phpLD existing. 50 000 means 100 approved links each day over a time of almost 2 years. Every link has a long description, since the first link. The directory gets today over 2000 unique visitors each day. I started this directory in july 2005. At that time the forum for phpLD (http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/) was very new and directories was not at all that popular like today ...

The Contest

The contest start when the directory reaches 50 000 links and ends after 10 days. (I will announce in this thread.)

I want to spread the word about this news so I will make a blog contest.

Make a blog post about this news and with information about the directory with links to it (show the detail pages etc). In the blog post you also need to write about me (Jim Westergren) with a link to my blog (http://www.jimwestergren.com), my directory list (http://www.addurl.nu) and my link building services (http://www.seo-fusion.com) (write a bit about them).

After you blogged about it write the URL to your post in this thread.

The 5 best blog posts will win $100 each, paid with paypal. We will announce the winners in this thread.

What are we looking at to decide the winners?


The context of your blog post including the language.
The quality of the text.
How good and established your blog is.


Please note!
If they are over 50 people blogging about this I will double the prize and make it $200 to each winner instead.

Congrats Jim!!

I am putting together a post now. Not so much for the contest money but because this is truly a great achievment in this day of here today gone tommorow directories.

Wow - $100 for a simple blog post. I might have to try that myself once I've got my tasks done for today.

There's no doubt Jim is true to his word and you will have no problems with him paying out. If you don't know Jim then it would definitely be worthwhile spending the time to write the blog just if it's to add Jim to your list of contacts :)

The next phase for the directory is placing editors for categories. I will hire a programmer to do that next month or before.

BEFORE you get editors, I have found two bugs in the admin pertaining to editorial accounts, so make sure those are corrected FIRST.

I love writing reviews, and as this is a directory, it will go into my directory blog.

If I do not do the review tomorrow (okay, now today) I should be able to do it Thursday sometime.
