Yahoo messenger problem

When i click on login it shows connect and goes back on login. It does not connect. I wonder what the problem could be :/

Probably because of your internet connection. Check your connection preferences.

Does it try to open a page using your browser?

No. I have a destop messenger. Actually, i just upgraded the version and since then this problem has be occuring

1. If you are behind a proxy then check your proxy settings.
2. Goto http://login.yahoo.com and login with the id you are trying to login to your messenger. After sucessful login try to login using your messenger.

in my opinion its because of your slow internet connection or its problem with your server, nothing wrong with yahoo new version.:)

I somehow still get it. Err..I think i'll wait :)

See if you can Uninstall Messenger and then Reinstall it.. I think that might help.. It did for me, for somereason not all the files in the download got downloaded.. so once I reinstalled it I was good to go.. Let me know

you can also check your proxy settings and yes the connections
