and it is killing my bandwidth..should I block Gbot? :confused:

If you block them you stop your pages being crawled, if you stop your pages bbeing crawled you stop the traffic from the SEs

Could just be a deep crawl. Most likely has nothing to do with the template/style.

based on stats:
11 visits and the bw usage is now 10.06 Megabytes.

is this just normal?

Its fine. You WANT Googlebot to crawl you as much as possible. Bandwidth is not that expensive.

Google found my new website in 24 hours. It's all normal, you shouldnt worry about bandwidth as it's dirt cheap and I don't think its eating that much for you to worry about.

And 10 Meg is nothing...I don't think I have any sites under a gig.

My more popular sites regularly use more then 10 gig but they obvioulsy pay for themselves.

Let Google have the run of the house ;)
