With sky high earnings per click (though little CTR) would you replace all your ads with YPN?

At least for the time being, till YPN continues to pay such high earnings

For now. YES.

But it won't be long before the epc starts to balance out with Google.

Make the money while you can.

I'm already 11 dollars away from my first check.

And it's only been 8 days.

I'm going to take on a site by site basis. Some sites do better with YPN, others with Adsense. It's nice to finally have a real option.

im switching everything over to ypn, they pay more and it will last for a long time, they have no problem paying high for overture users and they will continue this trend with ypn.

yeah i do well, actually was doing well with adsense until recently, i would say since aug things where getting worst but i noticed a decline in the lst 7 months. This decline is across the board on over 8 sites and over many keywords and phrases. I see posts stating they are not feeling the pinch but i have and a few friends have as well. One of my sites was doing 1400 clicks a day and averaged 250 a day then somehow it went to 80 a day. I know, I know the advertiser was paying per click but per cpm but thats why things are low for many people. But with ypn things are better then ever, period.

I would have no hesitation going with the highest paying program.
Hopefully YPN will be a worthy competitor to adsense.
It would certainly be a nice result if competition from YPN made adsense increase the publisher's share of revenue generated...

Exactly, first off whenever i leave adsense and come back 2 months later the money is on point but then it dwindles.

Hopefully if many leave adsense for ypn adsense will one day return to its normal state but not as long as they provde smart pricing, buying clicks by the thousand and the rotating ads. those things need to stop or soon all keywrods and phrases will be worth 3 cents a click.

except powerfull keywords like , freecellphones, cellphones, lawyers etc.....

Short answer: no, I plan to keep a mix of both so I can keep track of which performs best.

Long answer: see my blog (http://www.admoolah.com/blog/index.php/2005/09/my-long-term-plans-for-ypn-and-adsense/)

I'm always seeking approval from those around me. YPN! was just a bonus.

Right now I would say that I would not switch over yet. It seems to be that Yahoo has some big advertisers like Vonage, but there are not enough ads that really seem to match up with the content of my sites that I would switch over 100% if I had adsense as well.

But I think the coming months could bring great things for Yahoo, if google doesn't adapt a bit to keep ahead of the race.

google getting better, i doubt that. what are they going to do go from 4 cents a click to 3 cents a click, they already have. ypn is the way to go.

Much higher CPC with Yahoo compared to Google. I've switched over nearly 80% of my ad inventory.

badkolo,

Do you mean that when you remove adsense for two months then put them back on that the epc goes back up, but then dwindles back to what it was when you took them off?

OK then - what did you do to reduce your tax obligation! You'll have to trust me on this, but give me one tip I have not heard of and I'll give you a wonderful cash bonus! Seriously, you save me some cash and I'll be more than happy to recipicate!

PM me if needed.

Is there not some sort of code in AdSense that let you get more money if the site is NEW or is it just that its new so people tend to click more? Every time i put up a new site i get more money and then it goes down. My friend got kicked out from Google and now he doing clickbank and he is doing better then money then he ever did with google.

Excuse my ignorance, I'm kind of new to this... but can you have both adsense ads and YPN on one site?

Same thing happened to my 7 sites using adsense. I still haven't figured out what happened. REV/Click is what went down the most.

I've applied with YPN, but still now news from them.:(

I might consider making the move if Yahoo would actually re-index my sites :)

Newbie here who has been lurking for a year.

Great forum, by the way.

I was approved for YPN last week. Wow. What a difference.

EPC is through the roof. With my sites, on average, it is about four times what I get with AdSense.

CTR is pretty bad, often .05% to .10%, but the EPC compensates and then some.

From all the forums I belong to, YPN is getting high marks across the board except for targeting which will take a while but eventually get there.

As far as switching over, I may.

A while back I stripped AS code from underperforming pages in an attempt to battle "Smart Pricing." I stuck YPN on those pages and am very happy.

Tonight I am going to take off AS on my main index page and put YPN to test.

I'll let you know.

Oh, for those who are applying to YPN, it took me about six months to get approved. I had applied before the program was officially launched.

Hopefully :) YPN will do the same thing to my site
Google is getting worse day by day. Sometimes I even notice 0.01 per click.

Actually finally quality content sites are getting rewarded by google through domain targeting.

Spammers and scrappers will do much better with ypn but its a matter of time before ypn catches up with targeted cpm ads.

Spammers scammers will do better on YPN and useful website is rewarded by google which means I will do better on YPN and you will do better in Google because your content is high quality :D, is that what you mean?

Well... Google gives the option for advertisers to ONLY advertise on your domain. Its called cpm targeting.

This is good because lets say I was a IBM and I wanted to advertise on Digital Point. If DP allows Images and meets the criteria then I can do this.

Before a advertiser would have had to bid on a keyword (like seo or whatever) to try to target digitalpoint.

This increases revenue for quality sites and also saves advertisers money.

This is only my personal point of view.
Google site targeting does not cut down advertising expenses. Instead, they will be more hefty. I had try to use their site targeting basis, as a result, I paid more for the clicks I received compared to traditional PPC. For example: If i set my budget to $50 for 60 clicks on PPC, then I would probably have to increase it to $120 to receive the same amount from site targeting.

The CPM basis is useful only when you are competing with someone over a market niche. You can easily grab attention from your competitor audience by buying image ads on their website.

YPN? never try that...so i dont have an answer ATM.
