handshakes or phpfox?

Can someone please give me the pros and cons of using,
1) Phpfox
2) Handshakes
for a social networking website similar in function to myspace.com?
Is is a waste of time trying either of this scripts or should I find a someone that know his/her way around vbulletin to build my site?
I have seen alot of posts stating that Phpfox is hard to custmize and is heavily branded.

Ive use phpfox and its great!! Nver heard of handshakes. Phpfox has a great community of support behind it as well. Good luck

I use PhpFox. Although it seems like they're always upgrading without fixing problems in previous versions, I think it's the best one out there. Also, there's other members on their forum that can help you out with what some of PhpFox's owners couldn't. It's a strong, smart community of members they have. So there's hope. Handshakes doesn't rub me the right way.
