Hello everyone!
I want to do start to complete a daily blog and include articles and attach documents to the blog.
Firstly, where is the best place to sign up for a blog.
Do you have any tips for SEO of blogs, does the SE's treat them any different, any dangers with linking etc?
Is it best to host your own blog and buy a domain name?
Any other information would also be appreciated.
Thanks,
Darren :)

I had asked the same question once in my forum. Rather than cut and paste, here's link to a helpful reply (http://www.theforumzone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3318&postcount=6) I received.

blogger.com seems the place to go.

blogger.com is cool because it's free and you can host it on your own domain (which creates more content/pages for your current site).

Blogger is super- makes it very easy to use..
Quick question- if I publish to a website other than blogspot, will the subdirectory redirect to my new site?
i.e. will jslots.blogspot.com redirect to toptentshirts.com/blog ?

Hi Darren !
If you have access to MySQL you may want to consider taking a look at WordPress (http://wordpress.org/). It's a super easy 5 minute download and best of all the program is free. :D

I don't think it actually redirects...I moved my blog to my domain ( http://www.viciousenterprises.com/summersblog )and it hasn't updated at http://viciousenterprises.blogspot.com
I have been using wordpress for some weeks now - not any where near as simple as blogger, but much more flexible. The main thing that turned me off about Blogger was the fact that the comments all had to be posted on blogger - I wanted my visitors to be posting comments on my site - not on blogger.
try out www.wordpress.org

Unless I am mistaken, my comments are posted on my site:

Blogger is more flexible than the wordpress hosted blog. If you use wordpress, get your own domain.
