I run a g5 imac :)... can i install it?? Also mysql... WIth php and mysql is is possible to build webpages solo with just those 2?? Noobie at this guys

Yes you can. If i'm not mistaken macs run on a file structure strikingly similar (if not identical) to linux. So yes it is possible. You're going to need to install apache, and of course PHP. :)

yes you can install php in MAC. So in true meaning its platform independent.
