i use wordpress blog software and theres a nice plugin for sitemaps...

I use `ls *.shtml` and then I use `sed` to add my base URL to the front of every line. :cool:

and there is a good tool for vBulletin

if you use a big cms like Mambo, drupal, nuke etc then visit their community sites as there will be a generator.

If your site is unique to you then the suggestions above should do the trick.

You're asking people who have already committed to having them. Wether they help in the long run will remain to be seen but there are good reasons to take the time to put them in. Especially if you use a CMS and it's quick and easy.
