Don't use Extreme Tracker

Extreme tracker lately wont show if you hide the code or resize the picture, too bad but do you know that by exposing your tracker people will access to your stats, find out your secret keywords, where do you get traffic from, how much visitors you got and even where your vsitors from ...

I say hide it using my trick or don't use it at all, and the most recommended : buy the private version or use your own server counters they work fine ...


The code to hide Extreme tracke without getting your account closed or even noticed is divided into 2 parts :

The CSS part, put it on your header :

C) I have never had a problem with people knowing how people find my site, infact alot of the time I get link requests due to the public showing of stats. It helps more than damages.

Trust me on one thing, if Extreme does any harm, it must be for a small amount of people, I have a good fair amount of knowledge in this area, and if a site is any good then it is fine. Do you think people linking to you will stop and insted link to webmaster X who find the site linking to you via your stats?

ahhh dude you are right, but you are only hiding it from search engine, the div is safe Google will see the page, index it and webmasters will find it only if it matters to them and they already referred some visitors to ya right ? ...
someone from DP and he knows me well cloned all of my niches and even my Swickis, he also took the pics I used to blind ads with ..... since that day I hate ET ...

Its just a basic statistic tool! Dont use it they ban you and they steel your traffic too!

I used to use extreme tracker, and I just bought the subscription so that I had the option to hide my stats.

These days I just use server log analysers and Google analytics - both free, and together, much more informative IMO.

I regularely use the visible extreme stats counter (and not only) to check site's referrals and "borrow" them (hence beating my competition) :) I never use visible trackers just to brag about my number of visitors. I had however twice signed up for a paid account with extreme tracker. They ARE good. But I also work with Analytics and StatCounter

You talk like if you have something to hide ...

Why do you think these statistics must be kept in private?

People could analyze your keywords ... or your referrals... and so what?

Let them see that your traffic is a quality one!

It won't be an easy job for them to take your place in the search engines... let them try to "steal your secrets" because they'll probably waste their time!

Dude I just coded something for the community, so if someone want to hide that big ugly icon, hide his secrets, or just for fun will use it, you don't have to take my view point as a bold line ....

I agree with WISSAM, I have a music lyrics site, honestly I take advantage to check my competitor site's extremetracker stats.. I check what's my competitor sites hot keywords.. after I saw the hot keywords,, I usually optimize some of my site pages from that keyword.. after few days, i stole some of my competitor site's traffic. ;)

Am also doin that CSS trick before.. but to mention it on public, i think its unfair with extreme tracker ;)

Thanks, and yes it's unfair if the icon was small, stylish and easy to put anywhere, it's standing out saying "click me - Check this niche", and it doesn't have the option to hide top keywords from the public .
this is my view point, but I might be wrong ....

I never use extreme tracker but I love it.I check my opponents stats , learn new keywords I never thought etc.
It is very nice imo.
Some people hide the button and for them I look at the source code :) and find the url.

The point is not in using this or that, the point is helping someone searching on Google wanting to hide his Extreme tracker, and sure the community first of all ....
