Hello all,

I have built a website about Rodents and curious about the click rates.I'm asking to many pet website owners here. How much you get for your content with adsense?

Rodent poision and rodent traps seem to pay more, since these can be bought and there is competition. Be sure to focus on these 2 keywords - also from my own research after 2 minutes, the term 'mice' seems to pay rather well, a lot better than 'rat'.

If you can put in 'pet supplies' 'pet meds' and 'pet stores' as these will pay the most for a pet site.

I hope this proves useful for you, good luck.

Adsense on pets sites can make a lot of money. I saw the bids on bidvertiser to be around 85 cents per click, and it's probably more on adsense.

Hello,

Is easy to know, check supplies prices.... :) and check with adwords tools. For examaple check bird cages with adwords tools, and check the high bid.. I dont understand if you can understand me....

Best regards,

Sometimes I cannot get the realistic bids from bid tools. So that I want to ask ppl that have pet websites or petshops.I also got prices with adwords tools.

Anyway thanks for your advise.

I think its a niche that will do pretty well without setting the world on fire. I would imagine anywhere between 10 and 20 cents would be bvery good for a niche of this sort.

Reccommendation, dont choose dogs as the topic of your niche ;)

Yes, use topics about more exclusive pets. The trend nowdays goes in this direction.

Pet sites are giving good $$ now using adsense. I had experience of $24 avg per day and site getting 1300 unique a day.

Make sure few things, this will help you earn bit more:

(1) Use google heat map (https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=17954) to place ads. (Top & Left portion of page is best)
(2) Mix up your ads with remaining content (do not show visitors that they are ads)
(3) Use them on top portion of pages
(4) See google help for knowing which format of ads are good for what content.

good luck

I just added Adsense to a newly aquired pet fish site. The site has good SE ranking, PR and receives a little over 500 uniques per day. I'm getting about 4 cents per click...pretty poor.

Adsense is going to have to be transitional while I get affiliate sales going for that niche.

Yes 4 cent is poor :/ I hope you get more with your content.

Are there any affiliates paying with PP?
