New domain name not working with www., is this normal?

I just registered a new domain name at GoDaddy. I changed the name servers and all that. When I goto mysite.com it works, but www.mysite.com still shows the godaddy park page. Does it just take longer sometimes for the www. to propagate?? Is this normal, or do I have to do something more to get the www. to work?

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. Give it 48 hours before you get concerned. One version of mine resolved before the other for some reason. They were both there within 48 hours.

In fact it's from 12 to 72 hours the time that a domain takes to fully propagate throughout the Internet.

In addition the process is not made all at once so using a proxy server hosted in other location than yours may allow you to see your domain earlier ;)
