Hello everyone,

ermmm may i know how accurate is the Unique visitors in awstats ?

I still don't quite believe I actually have almost 1k visitors for my new blog which was created about 3 weeks ago.

This number of unique visitors is certainly overestimated. One of the issues is that AWStats distinguishes robots from visitors by using a list of known robots.

In a blog like yours, the RSS feeds like http: //potsource.com/feed/, are automatically read quite often by some browsers and by many robots. Some of these are counted as visitors.

You would get much more realistic results by excluding all the RSS feeds (URL's containing the word 'feed') from the stats. This can be done in AWStats configuration file.

LOL, I could not believe the stats myself. hehe

as I sort of suspected it was the bots.
