Just wanted to share this story i found kinda proves how useless alexa is

The Alexa rankings can give you a very rough estimation (for many sites) on how much traffic a site gets. But you have to remember it's only based on those users who have gone through the trouble of installing the Alexa toolbar on their computer. So you have to think who might do that and what sites do they look at. People who set up websites and have an interest in website information, perhaps?

It was semi relevant in the old netscape days when the plugin was more popular.
