Hello,

If anyone purchase a domain name which has been banned, will get any bad effect or if anyone purchase a domain name which was good in search engines will get any plus points.

this is hard to say I think it depends on how long is it ago that the domain was banned.

i dont think this such a good idea.

1 - google usualy ban domain and user account.

2- sometimes ban domain not user account.

3- otherwise people could create new adsense account with diffrent id and use the same domain

Personally I wouldn't touch a banned domain - not worth the potential issues and confusion. The last thing you want to happen is your potentially great website failing due to the murky history of the domain.

This might sound stupid - how do you know if it is banned?

There are tools that let you know if a domain appears to have been banned. I don't think it's fool-proof by any means though. I would personally steer clear of it because of the difficulty of getting it reinstated. What's the use of a good domain without being on the search engines, UNLESS it already has a steady stream of traffic.

If your domain is banned, just have Google re-review your site for indexing. Same goes for any other search engine. If the quality is there, there shouldn't be any reason why they won't re-include you.

I accidentally registered a domain once that was banned in google. Didn't even think to check before I registered it.

I shot off an email to google explaining how I had just registered the domain and saw that it was banned. They reviewed my site and unbanned in within 2 days.

Never had a problem with the serps since.

Using that tool, how do you know if its banned? Are you talking about being banned from the Google search engine listings, or from the Adsense programme?

Sorry if thats a really thick question

I wouldn't hesitate to grab a nice key word domain, but otherwise, I wouldn't touch anything that's been banned.

I'm talking about Google search engine listings. This tool can tell you if you're being banned from Google search listings.

Instead you could go for expired domain name, buying banned domain name is just pointless.

If you have a site with several indexed pages, that now show none (confirm it at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/sitestatus as it was said above), well, you have a problem.

I bought an old domain and i have trouble getting it index in google. I have over 4000 links pointing to my website. Now, is there a way to check if its banned. I did a check on iwebtools but didnt help because my website wasn't indexed.

This (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ ) is a tool to check whether the site will be indexed in Google or not.

Hello MonsterClips,

I'm in the same situation. If it isn't indexed, and you are link building correctly, well...there is some problem with it. Google may have flagged it because of the purchase (TDNam?)

banned domains.... are they cheap

They can be worthless to you if previous owner used it in a manner that has determined search engines to ban it. DO not exclude the possibility that the domain has been used for email scamming which can result in negative effects that are even worse than a SE ban. With a banned domain you might find yourself locked out of the web, beware.
