hi everyone i just wanna know how dows feedbacks and contact forms in a site work i want to use a contact form in my web site what should i do?

Hi and welcome to DP's board.

I'm not sure if I understand correctly thus allow me to be frank
- your present voting form has no aim - it's just a voting form but I don't think visitors will know why and what to vote for.
In my experience one must spell out a precice question e.g.
Please tell us what you think about this site in particular about ...
question 1 - 4
- also always try to capture an e-mail address. I tend to not make it compulsory but it keeps the time wasters away.

Contact forms there are thousands of scripts java php cgi (check hotscripts.com) these can include databases autoresponders etc.

Contact and voting are two different tasks, thus I would never merge them.

A contact form should encourage interaction.

if u haviewd the website: www.whyandhalflb.com u would have known that the contact form is about the clothes ....any way i want to make a contact form and i want a database to store the data entered by users who use this contact form knowing that i will be administring the website and its database so what i wanna know is what are the ways or software or languages i should use in order to achieve my aim ...did u get it if not plz tell me coz i really need to make that contact form... :(

how long is a piece of string.....


go to hotscripts.com type in form mail with database and take your pick.

php cgi java sql or text database whatever you are comfortabe with fee or commercial......

If you need to pull a fast one and want something quick and easy try

the good old matts script archive, the cgi srcipt works on nearly all servers
http://www.scriptarchive.com/ (just rename the script as it is the most scanned .pl or .cgi there is)
