View Full Version : That sinking feeling

Just wondering how many of you get that feeling in the morning or when ever you are about to sign into your adsense account that it, just is not going to work "sorry that username does not exist " screen or wakeing to an email from google. You can see who it is from but dare you open it !

It would be nice to see your own lttle bar in google adsense that rates rate you as a user, like the page rank bar, the better the rank the less chance you will have of getting banned for anything, and the more google values you as a user. Just a thought but it would make me happy.

Also there should be a three strike system 3 strikes and your out instead of the instant ban form google. As i reckon when yahoo an msn bring in there adsense then the instant ban from google will not hurt you as bad as it does now, if you have an account with all three then loosing one would not to big a deal, all it means is that who ever bannes you just pushes you to use their competitor.

Still just a few thoughts all

Hmm from what I've read Google do send warnings in all cases except where it's deemed for certain that click fraud has taken place. Read the threads from this morning to ease your mind.. certainly put mine at ease.

but thanks for the link not read all that before

It's not you what is boring, it's the topic, there is just no reason why anyone should worry about getting banned, as they say on the blog no one should lose any sleep over their AdSense account

It's only because frymans mom didn't hug him enough as a child. Don't sweat it. Either that or his site's are dipping way low in the rankings lately. When I first came here he seemed chirpy and just delightful, now he's a tetchy stress-head, quick to fire up over the smallest of things. Ho hum.

I feel your pain, fryman. I'm listening..

There's certainly a cause for concern when we're all building sites for AdSense in some respect, and one of the policies states you aren't allowed to do this. I'd love for AdSense to clarify this specific clause to something like 'You may not place AdSense on a site without useful content', and scrap the 'Built for AdSense' line.

Don't know what my mom has to do with this...
And you just keep whining about Adsense policies, you must have some wonderful sites under your arm...

GADOOD
Aug 26th 2005, 3:23 am
I certainly do, but I'm building them with AdSense in mind to monitize them.

This, to some, could be seen as breaching AdSense policy.

It needs clarifying!

How many threads are you going to hijack GODAAD?

If you are really that worried, why not get in a different business?

I have never seen someone post so much on how worried they are they will be banned.

GADOOD
Aug 26th 2005, 3:57 am
Is my point not a valid concern for all, if not most in here?

Hi-jacking threads? Mayne, that's a bit O.T.T. I'm just making my point where appropriate, and it just so happens it sat nicely in here.

Its that you have posted the same question in every adsense thread this morning and the last couple of days.

Here is a good rule of thumb:

If you post 20 times a day asking what "Making a site for AdSense" really means and you get Poo Cramps every time you log in

You are probably breaking the TOS

I'm just bringing to attention a policy which most of us are in breach of when the oppertunity arises!

If the AdSense Police didn't build sites for AdSense themselves and ignored this clause it would be an all out war, I'm sure.

HE BUILD HIS SITE FOR ADSENSE!1111111

NGHHH!! I'VE BEEN BANNED!!

GNARRR HE BUILT IT FOR ADSENSE TOOO!!1

MARGHHHH BUT YOU CAN'T PROVE IT....

JAHA BUT GOOGLES BANNED J00 ANYWAY!!!!!!!11111111AHAHA!

Maybe I'll do what Andy Dufresne did and write a letter every day to the AdSense team until they remove it and I stop wetting the bed at night and having nightmares.

You seem to be below the minimum age to use AdSense anyway - That might be what you should be worried about

GADOOD

Hardly, and you have many of my articles accepted on your article depot so I obviously don't write like I'm underage, I wonder what it is that makes you think it though, maybe it's my baby-face.

I hope those articles are generating you a few AdSense clicks they're on high paying topics. It would be interesting to know who'se making the most AdSense money out of my articles at the moment, you or me. A fun experiment that can be saved for the future I think. ;)

I'm over excited because I've not slept for over 24 hours and I've been drinking coffee and tea for the duration while working on my sites and I have no inclincation to do anything other then p!ss the time away on here for the rest of the day since my work is done, in my new Internet home, with my new, fun-loving easy-going friends.

What's wrong with being excitable, everyone loves puppies.

Who are you talking about....The Pope?

GADOOD
Aug 26th 2005, 4:39 am
The Pope? I thought it was the gamesmaster (http://www.dex-files.co.uk/other/gmbook1.jpg).

Hm ... maybe the Pope *was* the gamesmaster, who came back in time after the technology was invented to..... squeeze his head into a vice, and then he preached cheats for games consoles instead, 'cos he realised taking the easy way in life was the wise thing to do.

Now I'm babbling crap and /shall/ go. I've crossed the boundry and it's just gunna be bizzare talk now. Laters haters. :o

Be on your toes my friend!

Can't take a joke you lot. ZZZzzzzzzzzz... stressed out, tetchy Internet entrepreneurs that you are. Lighten up and you wouldn't feel the need to:

- Rate anyone *anything* in these forums
- Report anyone for *anything* to do with AdSense

You'd get on with living a happy easy-going chilled life with money in your pocket and the time to enjoy it.

Funny the life people choose for themselves....... I'm 60k in debt and I'm still smiling and having a ball working my way out of it, mainly with AdSense and another job. Whats your excuses? Shame on all you tetchy stressballs.

Nite nite!

Honestly, anyone whose first thought when anything goes awry with adsense is they have been banned....

Well you need to find another source of revenue for your site.. You are either guilty, or terrribly inexperienced, either way, it is a risky proposition, so go find something more forgiving and less lucrative.

yfs1
Aug 26th 2005, 7:48 am
And even more in this case where nothing has actually gone awry...They just think so little of their sites, they are scared they will be banned any day now

You all forget that clause in the policy. Odd stuff. No matter how good or valuable the site is if you BUILT it for AdSense you've breached policy, apparently. Haven't you?

I have no doubt my site is of QUALITY and which will remain QUALITY and useful to anyone who visits...... but aren't we building sites for AdSense?

Man. I'm talking to some strange people here - can you hear what I'm saying OK ?

Does anyone see my point or agree, at all ?

Pete

GADOOD
Aug 26th 2005, 7:58 am
(Or is it irrelevant if you build a QUALITY site for AdSense as some have suggested I'd be 'OK'?)

Is OK good enough when policy states you can't build sites for AdSense?

Man, that clause. It's driving me insane, yes I'm inexperienced in building sites I'd like to monitize with AdSense.

Basically right, the UK AdSense team are sound, so once my site's up and ready I'll ask them if the site's ok to place AdSense on. End of. You will hear nomore of my whinging about this clause.

I see your point, and I understand your concerns. But, if you aren't clicking your own links, the most you will get from big G is a warning letter telling you that a particular scraper site does not qualify for AS. Sit back, relax, have a smoke, watch some porn, whatever just stop panicking and getting other panicked over nothing.

GADOOD
Aug 26th 2005, 8:01 am

Yes, you have a point -- there does that make you happy.
'Made for adsense' is an odd phrase really. But as said, if G doesn't like having adsense on a site they will email you and ask you to remove it. That's really nothing to get stressed out about. If you're worried about getting an email like that then you need to revisit the content on your site. If the site is of use to users, then G won't send out that email.

I always like when my intuitation has been confirmed... See days ago I put Gadood on my ignore list. Once he defended his ridiculous leave people be position, I knew he was not worth listening to.

It is so good to see that my pre-emptive action really payed off this time. I have no idea what he has said for days.. but I have a pretty good idea given the responses he has been given.

aeiouy: *sigh* - I guess you made your judgements on my whole character based on ONE opinion I had on 'minding your own business', eh?

Oh well eh. That's how it seems to go on here - say one opinion and that's it - the ratings come smackin' down on you 'til you're in the red and you've got the tetchy regulars acting like stress-heads judging you.

Your 'intuitation' is bunk my friend, but then you don't wish to get to know me, you've made your judgements. Great. Must be great to live like that.....!
