What the average $$ made per 1,000 impressions?

I know it might vary somewhat but in Adsense whats the average payout per 1,000 impressions? is it 2 cents or 5 cents? lol

Actually -for me atleast - it depends on # of unique & first time visitors.
If a lot of new visitors, esp those from SE's, make the ctr impressive. But the repeat visitors - I belive - never click, since they develop ad blindness. Same is true with bought out traffic - its a damn waste afa AS is concerned.

The ratio of 1000 imp and $ depends on the above factors awa the keyword value.

BTW, last moth ave on 1 of my clients e-comm site is 8.00 & fluctuate vastly.

I read the average eCPM (cost - $ per thousand impressions) was $5-$6.

If you use Adsense, it has the potential to go a LOT higher.

In my opinion, anything less than $5-$6, and you have some work to do.

This is assuming we are not talking about forums.

No wonder a lot get bitter and throw reds at me when I mention how easy it is to earn a lot, with very little traffic at all and without search engine traffic. *shrugs*

I consider any page that's below $100 per 1,000 impressions these days a waste of time and effort to drive traffic to. *ducks*
