I personally think linkmarket.net is the best. You dont want something that does it automatically or it could be classifed as a link farm. I would just do the extra work to receive these links.

Whilst it is not technically a link exchange website, i think link-vault.com is the best way to get links. You place upto 5 links on your site and your site is linked to by many sites (depending on your vaultage).

I agree that link-metro.com has the best system. I can control what types of sites I want to link back to me, I can accept or reject any link at any time. There are no costs and no obligations.

I just developed www.logon.info - you may want to take a look - this is still very much in its infancy, but the theory is sound, and it should grow very quickly. Basically, its a link exchange automater where you get to choose which categories to display to ensure relevancy. All sites are vetted on application and at least once monthly after. I am also now building a tool to enable users to block links they dont want to display. This will be limited to a maximum of 10% of sites on any page, but adds another level of personalisation to the scheme.

I gave link metro a try... Placed some links on my PR3 and PR4 pages, and submitted some link requests with sites of the same PR. The next day, I got 5 positive responses, and was excited.

I checked their links, and they put them on sub-sub "links" pages that weren't even indexed by google. Whoopy. Needless to say, I pulled the links from my PR4 pages that were indexed every day. I got a total of 8 link exchanges, and only ONE of the pages that had my link had PR, and that was a PR 2 page off of a PR6 site.

IMHO, sites should be forced to show where your link will be placed, and show the PR of THAT, not the main page. I don't care what their main page's PR is if there going to put my on a page that they don't even link to and isn't included by google.

If they fix that bug, I think link metro could be a very powerful (and popular) link exchange tool.

I created a new system for link exchange maybe that will help you.

The system is still new and we need many more members.
The good thing about it is only take 5 minutes to set up and you will not have to work with it no more.

Our system will automatically exchange links between all members.
Every members website will have a link back to your website Guaranteed!
The more member we have the more back links you will have to your website!

New members website automatically linked to your website.

Here is the link: http://www.buytargetedemaillist.com/partnerresources.php

Also here I link to see how the system looks like on other peoples domain. : http://allmerchantaccount.com/partnerresources.php
Submit Your Website For FREE and sit back and wait for the results -
you will have many new link backs every day.

Take look and let me know what you think.

In what way is this any different to the programmes which are being dropped by Google every day? Because your links are recipricated by everyone in all themes and topics, your project is in great danger of becoming a link farm. If you sell lavender, why on earth would you link to a site selling second hand cars? This is what is happening all over the place, and people who dont understand the way links work are tripping themselves up on projects like this. The intention is great, but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired.

As yet I have not heard a decent argument which trips up my scheme (see my footer) which allows each user to choose their own link categories to display. this ensures that the links are relevant, but also creates many one way links. As an example, my e-commerce site deals in jewellery, and therefore links to sites relevant to jewellery. Somebody else joining the network may have a wedding site, so would display the wedding jewellery page, but the body jewellery category would have no relevance whatsoever. Another site may do car hire, so show the wedding page, but not the wedding jewellery page, and so on.

Link exchanges ARE best done manually, as this ensures that you have complete control over who you link to. However, most people just dont have the time needed to build a decent link exchange programme for their own site, so if you need to rely on a link exchange tool, I cant see any better than mine. Please correct me if you feel Im wrong - I am always looking to improve my system and welcome criticism, so long as you can back it up with either exapmles of what you are saying or a good well explained argument.

Oh, and its free ;)

It's funny how the same company behind linkmetro is also behind Seo Elite. Why would you need Linkmetro if Seo Elite is everything it's cracked up to be?

I think wonderlinks, among many others, have been doing the same thing for a while now, and they all get your site moving downward, instead of upward.
