View Full Version : CJ payments delayed...

I have never seen anything more unprofessional than the mess CJ has created with their last update... Obviously, this wasn't tested prior to release and it seems that they are having payment problems... The only reasons there are for payments being delayed is if they actually broke something that helps them in their payments or if they are purposely stalling due to cash flow problems.

I know that their payment collection from advertisers is working as before..

And income is still down 50% since before their downgrade. Make a test purchase and you will see that reporting is still way off. In this type of business realtime stats are the only thing that gives us confidence in the system. Without this, they could be stealing us blind.

Anyways, I made a few test purchases with SID's so that I can track them to see if they eventually credit these transactions.

I doubt CJ is having cash flow problems. I think they are very solid. My guess is the reports are such a mess THEY can't even get the right numbers out.

I take it you've never used Linkshare.

I couldn't log in since 5pm this afternoon...and the commission amount has been up and down in the past few days. Not exactly know if CJ is trying to adjust the number, or it is simply because the sales recording system doesn't function right.

CJ Login is crashed!

About their payments, I am still waiting to see the balance of my locked transactions. Just waiting and waiting

I wonder if the sales that we generate will be accounted for during this instability time.

Just my luck, I joined CJ last Thursday :p Hopefully they're using all their server resources to track clicks and sales instead of running reports.

I bet the problem is being compounded by excessive account checking and report running by publishers wondering "where's my mullah?!".

The tracking and reporting servers are separate. At least that's always what they say everytime there is a reporting server upgrade and everything goes haywire. "Tracking has not been affected!" :p

I guess thats true. I had one sale during their bad days, but it got tracked properly.

I am not sure if they track sales properly. My slaes on Saturday and Sunday are dramaticlly less (only made 20% as my average daily sales). Maybe it is just a coincidence.

I think that sales aren't being reported correctly right now, but I'm not sure. Is that what other people understand? The acct manager updates they're giving on don't seem very specific as to what the problem entails.

I hope that's the case, I'm a new member and sending them a lot of clicks, but very few sales reported. I think someone said on another thread that sales and clicks are tracked on different servers.

Has anyone been paid by CJ for this month?

It's a bit disconcerting though. The problems I have seen are the fluctuations in the reporting. I was under the impression I made X and the payment was Y. I've seen money come in and then disappear, then come back, then disappear. My earnings are pretty consistent so it makes you wonder. I'm hanging in there anyway. Payments were only delayed about 4-5 days so it was not that bad. The reporting discrepencies however are a little scary, and confusing. Hopefully everything settles down.

No. My current balance is still shown as it is.
But the payment was not sent.
I sent mails and the question status is still unresolved!!

This is why I left CJ not too long ago. I posted about it in another forum but am too lazy to go dig it up.

I had proof that I wasnt getting paid for sales. Now whether it was the affiliate itself or CJ is still unknown and I gave up searching for the answer.

Sounds like this current issue is system related and is temporary.

Not related but I had a horrible experience with CJ. Hope everything works out for you guys.

Actually, having now read up on their terms there is no real cause for concern for international CJ publishers who have not received payment. This is what it says:

Commission Junction issues checks for previous month's sales on the 20th of the month for publishers located in the U.S. and Canada and on the last day of the month for publishers located elsewhere when your account exceeds Commission Junction's "Minimum Balance Amount".

In previous month's they mailed the cheques alot earlier.

I love CJ, I can't believe all this trouble that they are going through...
and it's a pain that the tracking is off. It makes it harder to make good decisions with all the lag.

I just checked and haven't even been credited with a click or an impression for the last 25 days, pryor to that I received a few each day so I have no way of knowing if they should owe me money or not. Very unprofessional.

Have you tried to use CJ during the day? This morning at 10:30 it took over a minute just to get a commission detail. And the freaking thing doesn't even show you all of them, so Page 2 ... 2 minutes later... page 3 ... I closed the browser.

Yesterday afternoon I wanted to get a link and the browser just sat there stupid after selecting the advertser at the bottom. I gave up on the 4th try, after having to reenter my username and password on the 3 other tries.

I don't see any features in the reporting that justifies the down of the upgrade or all the headaches since. I think adding a few more reports would have been fine rather rewriting it from scratch.

My CSV reports are just a mess. I still can't find anything to search by SID!

At 2:00am it's really cool and fast though!

I haven't recieved my July payment yet.
(I'm new to CJ so I don't know exactly how they do it.)
I'm assuming August is for next month.

Also what does "Locked" mean? Is it accepted and ready to go?
Because it sounds like a bad thing for some reason.

Locked: The Commission Junction system locks all New and Accepted transactions as well as any transactions that have been in the Extended status for a period longer than 30 days on the 10th of the month following the month they were posted. Commissions for all Locked transactions will be included in the payment following the month the transactions were posted (e.g., transactions locked in January are included in the February commission payment). Once a transaction is locked it may not be moved to another status.
