Banners vs Text banners vs Text links

In my account I have a text banner enabled for text only links.
Now that I've added a graphical banner, will whey both appear on banner sites, or will the netwok automagicly select the nifty graphical one only?

I don't want to remove the text banner since I won't get any text only links then...

Sites that choose any banner type (the default) will show the graphic or text banner. If a site chooses text banner, they still will see either one, just as a text only banner (the graphic banner will use the ALT tags for it's anchor text to build a text banner).
